\u201cThere is \u2014 and has been \u2014 an effort among certain Justice Department and FBI officials to improperly delay and stop full and complete investigative activity into the Biden family\u201d\"joe_hunter_biden_r.jpg\"<\/p>\n

Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley announced Wednesday that there is evidence that the FBI and the DOJ attempted to shut down investigative activity into the Biden family and initiated a coverup of \u201ccriminal information\u201d by labeling it \u201cforeign disinformation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grassley presented the findings in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray, noting that \u201cThis letter is based on years of investigation, including the provision of information, records, and allegations from multiple Justice Department whistleblowers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Senator further noted that the findings \u201cindicate there is \u2014 and has been \u2014 an effort among certain Justice Department and FBI officials to improperly delay and stop full and complete investigative activity into the Biden family, including but not limited to FD-1023s referencing the Biden family.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs just one initial example, I\u2019ve been made aware that at one point in time the FBI maintained over 40 Confidential Human Sources that provided criminal information relating to Joe Biden, James Biden, and Hunter Biden,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been alleged that the basis for shutting the investigative activity down was an August 2020 assessment created by FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten,\u201d Grassley added, further noting \u201cThat assessment was used by an FBI HQ team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and caused investigative activity to cease.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Senator goes on to detail how the FBI used Auten\u2019s assessment and other briefings to discredit bribery and corruption allegations as \u201cforeign disinformation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grassley alleges that the \u201cpartisan media\u201d and Congressional Democrats then cited the FBI\u2019s assertions as a way of stymying his investigation into the Bidens.<\/p>\n

The Senator further notes, \u201cIt should be emphasized that the basis for trying to shut down the Biden family 1023 has been described to my office as highly suspect and is contradicted by other documents my office has been told exist within the Foreign Influence Task Force, FBI Seattle Field Office, FBI Baltimore Field Office, and FBI HQ holdings.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a press release, Grassley\u2019s office noted that the Senator will \u201cseek interviews from at least 25 DOJ and FBI personnel involved in the efforts to investigate the Biden family or shut down related sourcing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Senator asserted that the findings suggest \u201csignificant political bias infecting the decision-making of not only the Attorney General and FBI Director, but also line agents and prosecutors,\u201d adding that \u201cOur Republic cannot survive such a political infection and you have an obligation to this country to clear the air.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
