{"id":2100,"date":"2021-04-11T12:45:43","date_gmt":"2021-04-11T12:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbmv.com\/blog\/?p=2100"},"modified":"2021-04-11T12:45:43","modified_gmt":"2021-04-11T12:45:43","slug":"blm-co-founder-buys-1-4-million-home-in-affluent-topanga-where-less-than-2-of-population-is-black","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbmv.com\/blog\/?p=2100","title":{"rendered":"BLM Co-Founder Buys $1.4 Million Home in Affluent Topanga, Where Less Than 2% of Population Is Black"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/blm-co-founder-buys-million-dollar-home-neighborhood-black-population-less-2\/\">Samantha Chang<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"blm_founder.jpg\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/media\/images2\/blm_founder.jpg\" alt=\"blm_founder.jpg\" width=\"\u201c474\u201d\" height=\"\u201c248\u201d\"><\/p>\n<p>The co-founder of the polarizing Black Lives Matter movement is under fire for buying a $1.4 million home in a posh California neighborhood that\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/worldpopulationreview.com\/us-cities\/topanga-ca-population\">88 percent white<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an interesting decision for Patrisse Cullors, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-black-lives-matter-founder-admits-far-left-political-activist-trained-marxists\/\">self-professed Marxist<\/a> and race-baiting activist who has paid lip service to promoting black pride.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dirt.com\/gallery\/more-dirt\/politicians\/black-lives-matter-co-founder-patrisse-khan-cullors-lands-topanga-canyon-compound-1203374803\/patrissecullors_tc1\/\">Dirt.com<\/a>, the home is located in Topanga Canyon, an idyllic rustic neighborhood about 48 minutes outside of Los Angeles and less than 30 minutes from tony Malibu.<\/p>\n<p>Cullors\u2019 new home has three bedrooms and two baths and sits on one-quarter of an acre. The property also has a separate one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house.<\/p>\n<p>But what is most interesting is that the BLM co-founder chose to live in Topanga, where <a href=\"https:\/\/datausa.io\/profile\/geo\/topanga-ca#about\">less than 2 percent<\/a> of the population is black.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Sports journalist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jason-whitlock-liberalism-new-kkk-hood-white-liberals-actual-bigots\/\">Jason Whitlock<\/a>, who\u2019s himself black, sarcastically called out Cullors for her blatant hypocrisy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlack Lives Matter founder buys $1.4 million home in Topanga, which has a black population of 1.4%. But she didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>And that says something about whether she truly believes that \u201cblack lives matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe had a lot of options on where to live. She chose one of the whitest places in California,\u201d Whitlock said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019ll have her pick of white cops and white people to complain about. That\u2019s why it\u2019s time to purge<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Quinton Blanton &#x1f1fa;&#x1f1f8; (@blanton_quinton) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/blanton_quinton\/status\/1380359774416498690\">April 9, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Black Lives Matter said it raked in a staggering <a href=\"https:\/\/blacklivesmatter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/blm-2020-impact-report.pdf\">$90 million<\/a> in donations last year.<\/p>\n<p>However, there\u2019s mounting criticism that the movement \u2014 which fomented riots across the United States \u2014 has not shared its massive haul with the black community.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the father of Michael Brown \u2014 whose 2014 shooting by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, was the catalyst for the 2016 BLM riots \u2014 demanded that the group fork over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/michael-browns-dad-makes-devastating-announcement-exposing-blm-truly\/\">$20 million<\/a> to him.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>    What is Black Lives Matter doing with all the money they\u2019re accumulating if not helping their local chapters and Black-owned businesses to advance?<\/p>\n<p>They seem to be fundraising for the sake of fundraising.<\/p>\n<p>All talk, all woke. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/8KSKvJHoq3\">https:\/\/t.co\/8KSKvJHoq3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 JD Rucker (@JDRucker) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JDRucker\/status\/1367512179512066050\">March 4, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Similarly, BLM chapters nationwide have demanded more transparency from the centralized umbrella organization for the group.<\/p>\n<p>In a December 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blmchapterstatement.com\/about\/\">statement<\/a>, the local chapters said: \u201cSince the establishment of [Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation], our chapters have consistently raised concerns about financial transparency, decision making, and accountability \u2026 we believe public accountability has become necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The local chapters also said the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation appointed Cullors as its executive director against their wishes and without their knowledge, rendering her leadership illegitimate.<\/p>\n<p>Is BLM a legitimate civil rights organization?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe, the undersigned chapters, believe that all of these events occurred without democracy, and assert that it was without the knowledge of the majority of Black Lives Matters chapters across the country and world,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPatrisse Cullors \u2026 became Executive Director against the will of most chapters and without their knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Considering how much havoc BLM <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mostly-peaceful-riots-soar-1b-damages-setting-new-record\/\">wreaked nationwide<\/a> over the past few months, you can only imagine how ugly the group\u2019s in-fighting will get.<\/p>\n<p>Conservatives, grab your popcorn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Samantha Chang The co-founder of the polarizing Black Lives Matter movement is under fire for buying a $1.4 million home in a posh California neighborhood that\u2019s 88 percent white.
